The Night Circus – Completed
Well its official, I WANT TO JOIN THIS CIRCUS! I just finished reading this book, after posting on Wednesday I was determined to finish ASAP. And I was not disappointed at all. It was truly incredible. So I shall carry on and let you all know what I thought of the ending...
The way it all panned out was un-expected but brilliant. I was pleased with the outcomes of all the storylines. The fact that Bailey is now owner of the circus makes me want to join even more!
The intensity confused me slightly when Marco & Celia kind of took away their human forms, though they were still there and had each other they were kind of alone, they detached themselves from the “game” and stayed with each other, which was a lovely (kind of) happy ending. What I found sad was the deaths of Chandresh and Friedrick Herr Theissen. I mean of all people I would have loved for Friedrick to live, he was so great, and Celia’s dear friend. It would have been interesting to see how he dealt with what happened to her.
Widget and Poppet were probably my favourite characters. Their stories turned out well, if there was a sequel (which I don’t think there should be because this book cannot be outdone) I presume Poppet and Bailey would get together, so cute! Widget and Alexander’s conversation was a little scary but deep and good, it showed what was to come for the young boy.
Also I loved the way Prospero (Hector Bowen) popped up frequently toward the end, his cruelty kind of made the book funnier, I enjoyed it. Some may say I’m odd but I really did, his way of mind was awful but the way he talked to Celia was wrong but it made me giggle for some reason.
Any who, I shall stop going on and on now. And I know I have already said this, but I loved this book. I loved it I loved it I loved it! To finish I found this review online of the book and thought it was very accurate, especially how she talked about the beauty of the book, the cover, the book mark the black pages, it was gorgeous. And I really hope it does get turned into a film! It would be so amazing to watch but could it live up to the book?
One last note, I’m off to Wales this weekend to go to this cool Hindu mandir on top of a hill or something so I’m excited! I probably won’t be posting about it until Tuesday, and after that I’m back to school (on my birthday! 5th September) so yeah, seeya all soon :)
